THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BELLA'S LEGEND (E Webber) was nervous in the stalls. b) NATURAL WONDER (K Steyn) was nervous in the stalls and jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) PALACE OF JUSTICE (MK Katjedi) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) POISE PANACHE (J Gates) was hanging out from the 300m. b) Jockey MK Katjedi reported that he felt something amiss with PALACE OF JUSTICE. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey S Naidoo reported that ELEGANT APPEAL took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Assistant Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. d) Jockey R Fourie (GREENLIGHT LEGEND) appeared before the Board and was advised to ride his mounts, at least hands and heels, to the finish to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards. e) PALACE OF JUSTICE (MK Katjedi) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 120 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr M Bawden) f) GREENLIGHT LEGEND, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM) g) GENTEEL, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised.
