THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, Jockey N Takawira, the rider of TRUSTFALL, briefly lost the footing to his left-side stirrup iron. b) Jockey P Mxoli reported that QUEEN OF FIRE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) BURN BRIGHT (Wes Marwing), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B H Stidolph advised (AH).
