THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PROFESSOR LUPIN (*N Nastili), ALL THE TIME (*M Mbuto), AGRADO (S Hlengwa), and GRAPE SHOT (C Zackey) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) A Race review was called into the start of this Race where it was established that MAGMA MAGIC (R A Venniker) attempted to cast its head into the adjacent stall gate 11 which resulted in the handler allocated to MAGMA MAGIC (R A Venniker) being marginally slow at releasing this gelding. After reviewing the start the Board was satisfied that the marginal loss of ground was as a result of this gelding's own behaviour in the starting stalls and therefore deemed MAGMA MAGIC (R A Venniker) to be a runner. b) AGRADO (S Hlengwa) jumped inwards making contact with the right front gate leaving the starting stalls. c) At the 150m ALL THE TIME (*M Mbuto) was directed outwards away from the heels of YANNAKIS (S Veale) which had come to the end of its run. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that GRAPE SHOT made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey S Veale reported that he felt something amiss with YANNIKIS in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) ABADDON (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) YANNAKIS: Coughing. b) GRAPE SHOT: Nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
