THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PURSUIT OF FAME (*G Samo-Burthia) and PUMPKIN PIE (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) HARRY NYQUIST (GB) (C Maujean) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) EUPHRATES (L Nhlapo) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, NKWENKWEZI (R Danielson) was bumped by PUMPKIN PIE (G Lerena), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) As the start was effected EUPHRATES (L Nhlapo) and URQUHART CASTLE (K Matsunyane) came together and bumped when awkwardly placed between HARRY NYQUIST (GB) (C Maujean), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls and PURSUIT OF FAME (*G Samo-Burthia), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) In view of the performance of NKWENKWEZI (R Danielson), (distance 31,00 lengths, betting 17/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey M K Katjedi reported that CYBER SPIRIT did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) HARRY NYQUIST (GB) (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
