THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EMERALD GREEN (*B Marx-Jacobson), RAFEEF'S CHOICE (S Moodley), MISS LADYATERIX (*B Plaatjies) and UBUKHWEBEZANA (S Veale) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MISS LADYATERIX (*B Plaatjies), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Y Govender was advised (DZ). Trainer Y Govender was questioned regarding the improved performance of MISS LADYATERIX compared to this filly's previous performance on the 8th December 2024 at Hollywood Scottsville. Trainer Govender explained that in this filly's previous start on the 8th December 2024 she had been restless in the stalls, was released and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race. However in the running of the race MISS LADYATERIX took an awkward stride and was not persevered with in running. This was corroborated by the Stewards' report of the 8th December 2024. His explanation was noted. b) Jockey D Daniels reported that GLAMORZ took a number of awkward strides in the running. In view of this report the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
