THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In the concluding stages, WHISTLEDOWN (N Klink) was brushed in by PARTY PUNCH (G Lerena), which shifted in away from the crop. b) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that STREISAND made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey K A Brewer reported that he felt something amiss with SNEAK PREVIEW in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Trainer W C Marwing was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.3 in that he failed to vaccinate ANNEWITHAN E against African Horse sickness in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer W C Marwing signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1000 was imposed. e) WHISTLEDOWN (N Klink), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Khan advised (MduP). When questioned regarding the improved performance of this filly, Trainer M Khan could offer the Board no suitable explanation. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running. JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) STREISAND fatigued. b) SNEAK PREVIEW examined post race, nothing obvious detected. SCRATCHED: a) HAVE A PARTY deceased.
