THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VJ'S ANGEL (G Lerena), OLIVIA'S WAY (M Yeni) and GERBERA (R Munger) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) This race was run in rain. b) In consultation with the Riders, the going was changed from Good to Soft, to Soft. c) In view of the performance of SPUMANTE DOLCE (R Danielson), (distance 12,75 lengths, betting 11/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the performance of HAT'S QUEEN (C Maujean), (distance 29.75 lengths, betting 100/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) In view of the performance of SENSORIA (K Matsunyane), (distance 36,25 lengths, betting 66/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) In view of the performance of BAKWENA (A Domeyer), (distance 41,25 lengths, betting 100/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) FIERY PEGASUS (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
