THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GLOBAL MOVEMENT (K Matsunyane) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) At the 400m PONGOLA (R A Venniker) was briefly baulked for a clear run. Thereafter approaching the 200m PAPA C (D Daniels) and PONGOLA (R A Venniker) were directed outwards to obtain clear running. c) AMIGO (*B Marx-Jacobson) hung in from the 300m. d) At the 100m RAGNAR THE KING (M Yeni) was steadied when awkwardly placed between RECORD HIGH (C F Dicken) and GLOBAL MOVEMENT (K Matsunyane) which was hanging in from the 300m and shifted in marginally. Thereafter GLOBAL MOVEMENT (K Matsunyane) continued to shift in. e) Jockey C Zackey (WORLD OF OUR OWN) did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter Jockey Zackey reported that this gelding did not stride out freely in the running. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer A Wright will be asked to report back on the condition of WORLD OF OUR OWN on return to stables. f) In view of the performances of BOM BOM (K A Brewer) (26.95 lengths, 33/1 in the betting) and AMIGO (*B Marx-Jacobson) (28.55 lengths, 50/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) Apprentice B-Marx Jacobson (AMIGO) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. h) TERMINATOR (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Forster acting on behalf of Trainer W A Nel was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) TERMINATOR raced fitted with a tongue tie (advised 01.03.2025/08h51). b) RECORD HIGH raced equipped with blinkers (advised 01.03.2025/08h26). c) Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson (claiming 4kg) was the rider of AMIGO (advised 26.02.2025/10h31). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) WORLD OF OUR OWN : Nothing obvious detected. b) BOM BOM : Returned post-race having cast the left hind shoe.
