THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ELUSIVE HUNTER (J Gates) was stubborn loading. b) BOSNAY (E Webber) was stubborn loading, kicked the back gates of the starting stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. c) IN THE GREEN ZONE (Y Ramzan) jumped outwards, losing one length. d) HAVANA GREY (X Ndlovu) and PINK MOON (K Minnie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, IN THE GREEN ZONE (Y Ramzan) was squeezed out between MISS SHAIVI (L Mxothwa), which jumped inwards and BOSNAY (E Webber), which jumped awkwardly outwards. Thereafter, both MISS SHAIVI (L Mxothwa) and BOSNAY (E Webber) came together and brushed. b) PINK MOON (K Minnie) shifted out from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey K Minnie (PINK MOON) used his crop in his right hand, which encouraged this filly to continue to shift further outwards. Jockey K Minnie appeared before the Board and was advised to ride his mount in a manner that encouraged his mount to remain on a straight course. c) In view of the performance of IN THE GREEN ZONE (Y Ramzan), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer TJ Laing, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. d) PROJECT RUNWAY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM) e) SEE YOU IN A BIT, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
