THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SILVONIAN (L Mxothwa) rushed the front gates of the starting stalls and thereafter, was slow into stride. b) DONNY TEE (S Naidoo), WHATEVER NEXT (R Fourie), DECREE (C Maujean) and MORNING CHESS (MK Katjedi) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CHARLIE MALONE (C Zackey) was hanging in from the 300m. b) Jockey C Maujean was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline G on the use of the crop) in that he struck DECREE unnecessarily when it was out of contention for a place. Jockey C Maujean signed an admission of guilt and was given a warning. c) DUBAI HILLS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
