THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DEVILISHLYGORGEOUS (+S Mkhumbuzi) was restless in the stalls. b) INTRO (+V Sithetho) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) JINGER JAM (+S B Mthembu) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 300m, JINGER JAM (+S B Mthembu) had to ease and switch out to avoid the heels of LACEWING (+K Mayhew-Munger), which shifted in away from the crop from the 400m. Work Rider K Mayhew-Munger was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that she, as the rider of LACEWING, failed to ensure that she did not cause interference to JINGER JAM (+S B Mthembu) when she shifted in at approximately the 300m. Work Rider K Mayhew-Munger signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Work Rider race. Suspension date: 20 March 2025. b) Work Rider X C Machaieie, the rider of CITY LIGHTS, accidentally dropped his crop at the 150m. c) In view of the performance of UP THE ANTE (+C Mabaya), (distance 14,50 lengths, betting 2/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) DEVILISHLYGORGEOUS (+S Mkhumbuzi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
