THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COPACABANA (R A Venniker) was stubborn to load. Stood and lost many lengths. b) DYNASTY'S LAST (M Thackeray) lost 3 lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) As the start was effected CHAKPORI (*M Mbuto) jumped awkwardly, losing 1 length, threw its head up on a number of occasions and was difficult to settle. b) DRIVE BY (*B Marx-Jacobson) brushed the inside running rail at the 650m. c) Leaving the 300m CHAKPORI (*M Mbuto) which commenced to hang out, was steadied away from the heels of DI ROSA (K Matsunyane) which shifted in away from the crop and was corrected. d) Apprentice *J Botes (QUENTASIA) accidentally dropped his crop at the finish line. e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to COPACABANA (R A Venniker), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 08.03.2025 to the 14.03.2025. COPACABANA may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer D S Bosch was advised. (SL) f) HEIRLOOM (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R Klaasen was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) DYNASTY'S LAST raced equipped with ear muffs (advised 06.03.2025/08h34). b) Jockey S Veale was the rider of FENNEC FOX (advised 07.03.2025/08h06). c) Apprentice J Botes (claiming 3.5kg) was the rider of QUENTASIA (advised 07.03.2025/18h32). d) Jockey T Godden replaced Jockey A Fortune on HEIRLOOM due to flight commitments (advised 07.03.2025/18h59).
