BRASS BELL (G Wright) was restless in the stalls. Injured. Withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.POWERED BEAUTY (AUS) (B Jacobson) was stubborn loading. Trainer K Anthony was advised to re-school this gelding.LEGEND (N Juglall) lost 3 lengths and thereafter was slow into stride.Trainer D Howells was advised to re-school this gelding.Jockey D Dillon signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 21.13 in that he failed to fulfil his riding engagement on SKOLLIE. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed.In view of the Starter's Report concerning BRASS BELL (G Wright) and in terms of Rule 61.6.10, the starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn and it is suspended for a period of 7 days until such time as it proves tractable in the starting stalls with a companion. Suspension dates:(20.01.2020 - 26.01.20120).BRASS BELL may not be presented for re-passing during this period.Trainer G B Puller will be advised.Jockey C Zackey signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse SKOLLIE more than 12 times in the entire race.The Board in determining the penalty,considered Jockey Zackey's record with regard to contraventions of this Rule as well as the manner in which he used his crop. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1500 was imposed. An Inquiry will be opened to establish why MASTER VISION (D Dillon) and POWERED BEAUTY (AUS) (B Jacobson) had to ease in the concluding stages.SKOLLIE (C Zackey) the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
