MARSANNE (A Marcus), TWEED VALLEY (N Juglall) and TOWNSHIP MELODY (S Moodley) lost 1 length, respectively.ROCKING RUBY (*J Gates) was awkwardly placed on the heels of PETRA (W Kennedy) at the 300m. Thereafter, at the 200m, ROCKING RUBY (*J Gates) was awkwardly placed when racing onto the heels of TOWNSHIP MELODY (S Moodley).In the concluding stages, PETRA (W Kennedy) shifted in marginally off the heels of GEORGINA ROSE (*T Gumede) which was hanging out from the 300m. Trainer R Hill called a race review into this incident however, after reviewing the patrol films of the race, no further action was taken.Jockey C Habib the rider of LINEAR appeared before the Board and shown the patrol film of this race and advised against the practice of using his crop down the shoulder of the horse whilst in the drawn position. PETRA (W Kennedy) returned post-race having cast the right fore shoe.GEORGINA ROSE (*T Gumede) the winner, selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G B Puller advised.
