THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ZINIKELE (R Munger), PERILLA (R A Venniker) and GO LIKE FLO (S Moodley) lost 1 length. b) BEVIES DELIGHT (G Lerena) stumbled leaving the stalls and thereafter lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GO LIKE FLO (S Moodley) did not parade in front of the grandstand. Assistant Trainer B Forster was advised that should this mare behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended. b) As the start was effected BEVIES DELIGHT (G Lerena) and PERILLA (R A Venniker) were brushed in by SAFE AND SOUND (K Matsunyane) which stumbled inwards leaving the starting stalls. c) PERILLA (R A Venniker) over-raced in the early stages. d) Leaving the 300m MAGICAL VIEW (M Thackeray) was switched to the outside of ZINIKELE (R Munger) to continue its run. Thereafter, at the 150m MAGICAL VIEW (M Thackeray) was switched to the outside of PERILLA (R A Venniker) to continue its run. e) At the finish line ICY LANCASTER (M Yeni) was bumped by MAGICAL VIEW (M Thackeray) which rolled out marginally away from the heels of BEVIES DELIGHT (G Lerena). f) In view of the performances of ZINIKELE (R Munger) (5.70 lengths, 25/1 in the betting) and GORGEOUS GIRL (S Veale) (8.30 lengths, 40/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) WARRIOR ROYALE (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) ZINIKELE : Nothing obvious detected. b) GORGEOUS GIRL : Not striding out right front. c) WARRIOR ROYALE : Returned post-race having lost the left front shoe.
