THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THE WINTER LAKE (C Little), KINGDUNDEE (JP van der Merwe) and ANUSCHKA'S WORLD (C Habib) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) THE WINTER LAKE (C Little) took an awkward stride shortly after the start. b) KHAYA'S HOPE (L Mxothwa) was hanging in from the 400m. c) KINGDUNDEE (JP van der Merwe) was hanging out from the 250m. d) Leaving the 200m ANUSCHKA'S WORLD (C Habib) shifted out away from the crop and was corrected. e) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that TEATRO changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. f) Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with GOLDEN LINK. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. g) FAIRY KNIGHT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
