THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE STARTING STALLS HAVING TO BE REPOSITIONED ON THE TRACK. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPE SAFFRON (J R Syster) and AMBER EYES (*G Dookhit) were stubborn loading. b) SUMMER WINTER (S Khumalo) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, WEARINGOFTHEGREEN (IRE) (K Matsunyane) and AMBER EYES (*G Dookhit) came together and brushed. b) SUMMER WINTER (S Khumalo) over-raced in the early stages. c) MRS WONDERFUL (*G Samo-Burthia) raced wide around the turn, into the straight and commenced to give ground to the field from the 400m. Thereafter, Apprentice G Samo-Burthia reported that MRS WONDERFUL did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey C Habib reported that DENIM BLUE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) LAPIS LAZULI (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Azzie advised (SM). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) DENIM BLUE raced with a tongue tie on (declared 18 March 2025 at 07H15).
