The start of this race was delayed due to the late arrival of PERILLA (R A Venniker) at the start. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PERILLA (R A Venniker) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) PERILLA (R A Venniker) proved reluctant proceeding to the start and had to be led. Trainer D Bosch was advised that should this mare behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended. b) PERILLA (R A Venniker) over-raced in the middle stages. c) In view of the performances of MISS PLATINA (M Yeni) (5.05 lengths, 5/2 in the betting) and MADISON VALLEY (G Lerena) (7.80 lengths, 14/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) WINTER GAMES (M Thackeray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
