THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) As the start was effected JANE'S VISION (R A Venniker) jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with the left front gate leaving the stalls. b) At the 800m GOLDEN CHANDELIER (C Habib) was brushed in by MIA'S ATHENA (A Mgudlwa) which rolled in. c) RUGGER LOVER (K Matsunyane) hung in, in the concluding stages. Jockey K Matsunyane reported that this filly changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey C Habib reported that GOLDEN CHANDELIER choked up in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) WINGS OF JOSEPHINE (*S Bungane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Buckler acting on behalf of Trainer G S Kotzen was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) JAZZ CAFE raced with steel shoes on in front, alumites behind (advised 26.03.2025/07h42). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Apprentice M Mbuto (PRANKSTER) weighed out at 48.5kg and was only able to claim 3.5kg of his 4kg Apprentice allowance.
