THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HILDELITA (N Takawira) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls and became unbalanced, losing three lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MAJESTIC WARRIOR and ULTIMATE JEWEL raced tight for some distance over the closing stages of the event. The Stewards upon their review of the race film determined that MAJESTIC WARRIOR, which was positioned close to the outside running rail, commenced to hang inwards leaving the 400m and ULTIMATE JEWEL commenced to shift out marginally from the right-handed crop which led to these two horses racing tight. As both horses were from the same stable, Jockeys Daniels and Syster were shown the patrol film footage. Jockey Daniels, the rider of MAJESTIC WARRIOR, placed second, elected not to proceed with an objection against the winner. Both Riders were advised that notwithstanding the opinion voiced by Jockey Daniels, they did not believe that there were sufficient grounds for an objection and accordingly gave the All Clear. b) ULTIMATE JEWEL (J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
