THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) WAHEED (C Maujean) over raced in the early and middle stages and settled at approximately the 1600m. b) At approximately the 300m MASTER FORESTER (R Fourie) was carried out by WAHEED (C Maujean), which broke down and shifted out towards the outside running rail. WAHEED (C Maujean) was attended to on course by the Veterinary Surgeon. c) Assistant Trainer CJ Boyers appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding the improved performance of MR SPEAKER (X Ndlovu). Ms Boyers could offer no suitable explanation. Her attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to in and out running. The Board has acknowledged that in MR SPEAKER's previous race on 14 March 2025, this gelding had stumbled shortly after the start but, in their opinion, this would not account for the pattern of inconsistencies in this gelding's races. d) MISTER SPEAKER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
