THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey J Penny (ZUZAN) did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. Thereafter, Jockey J Penny reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Jockey D De Gouveia (THUNEE PLAYA) did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Jockey D De Gouveia reported that he felt something amiss with this colt in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey S Khumalo was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E read with Guideline 3 on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking RADICCHIO forward of the saddle in the concluding stages. Jockey S Khumalo signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. d) MUSICAL SCORE (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (MS).
