The start of this race was delayed due to HAPPY ANALIA (K Matsunyane) proving difficult and stubborn to load. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HAPPY ANALIA (K Matsunyane) proved difficult and stubborn loading. b) BOOM SHAKALAKA (*J Botes) and BLESS ME FRED (S Hlengwa) were slow into stride. c) NORTHERN WARRIOR (R A Venniker) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) During the loading process CHARA SANDS (C Habib) became restless and kicked the back gates. As a result NORTHRN WARRIOR (R A Venniker) pre-empted the start and reared. Thereafter this gelding jumped outwards and made contact with the left front gate. b) Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson reported that the saddle on PHILISPIEL, which hung in from the 300m had slipped back in the running. This was confirmed by the video evidence. c) BOOM SHAKALAKA (*J Botes) hung in from the 350m. d) HAPPY ANALIA (K Matsunyane) hung in, in the concluding stages. e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to HAPPY ANALIA (K Matsunyane), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 10 days and until such time as it proves tractable on a race day with a companion. Suspension dates: 14.04.2025 to the 23.04.2025. HAPPY ANALIA may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M N Prinsloo was advised.
