THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUICK CROWN (M Mjoka) was stubborn loading. b) KING PRAWN (C Maujean) was stubborn loading and restless in the stalls. c) ARABIAN BLUE (X Ndlovu) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FIERY COUNTESS (C Zackey) was hanging in from the 500m and thereafter Jockey C Zackey did not persevere with his riding from the 100m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that ARABIAN BLUE changed stride continuously in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. c) Jockey M Mjoka reported that QUICK CROWN coughed post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. d) DIRECT HIT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
