AUSTRIAN BEAUTY (S Veale) had to be resaddled at the start. This caused a delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROYAL ENIGMA (A Mgudlwa) was stubborn to load. b) LEMON THYME (S Moodley) lost 1 length. c) SKIPPER O'MALLEY (C Habib) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 1100m BALTIC ASSAYER (D Daniels) which commenced to over-race for a short distance, rolled out away from the heels of STREET TALK (M Yeni). b) In the concluding stages BALTIC ASSAYER (D Daniels) was brushed in on two occasions by PROMISE OF FIRE (K Matsunyane) which hung in from the 400m and rolled in. c) ECHO (S Hlengwa) hung in from the 250m. d) Jockey S Khumalo reported that K M V RETROFIT changed stride repeatedly in the running. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performance of TERMINAL VELOCITY (A Fortune) (5.20 lengths, 3/1n in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) STREET TALK (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Naidoo was advised (SP). Trainer K Naidoo was questioned regarding the improved performance of STREET TALK in today's race as compared to this filly's previous race on the 02 March 2025. He explained to the Board that STREET TALK's previous two races had been down the straight and that in his opinion this filly had possibly enjoyed the extra ground from a favourable draw around the turn in today's race.
