THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WE'RE JAMMING (JP van der Merwe) and SILVER FALCON (C Zackey) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 400m SUGAR MOUNTAIN (G Wright) was steadied for a number of strides and directed outwards when unable to secure a narrow run between the inside running rail and CAPTAIN WEST (K Matsunyane). b) Approaching the 100m LION RAMPART (S Veale) rolled inwards and made slight contact with SEEKING THE STARS (G Lerena). Thereafter LION RAMPART (S Veale) and SEEKING THE STARS (G Lerena) brushed shortly before the finish. c) WATERBERRY LANE (O Noach) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr E Reynders) d) TENANGO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
