THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MOTHERSHIP (MK Katjedi) was nervous in the stalls and jumped outwards. b) SWEET NOTHINGS (K Minnie) and TAKE YOUR TIME (E Webber) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SUNDROP (*H Moosun) was bumped outwards by MILLENIUM DANCER (*I Taka), which jumped slightly outwards. b) TAKE YOUR TIME (E Webber) was carried outwards by MOTHERSHIP (MK Katjedi), which jumped outwards shortly after the start. c) FIRE GLOW (C Zackey) and HAPHAZARD (R Fourie) brushed shortly after the start. d) A MONTH OF SUNDAYS (C Habib) shifted inwards sharply away from the crop and thereafter had to be steadied monetarily off the heels of MOTHERSHIP (MK Katjedi) at the 250m. e) FIRE GLOW (C Zackey), which was eased out of the race, was carried out by ONO NO KOMACHI (X Ndlovu), which shifted out slightly at the 150m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine FIRE GLOW (C Zackey). Assistant Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. f) Trainer Z Oosthuizen was questioned with regard to the improved performance of THREE CHEERS as opposed to her previous race on 4 April 2025. He explained that this was her second run for his stable and, in his opinion, she did not seem to enjoy the turf. It is his intention to race this filly on the polytrack in future engagements. He further explained that he had had dental work done on this filly prior to today's race. Trainer Z Oosthuizen's explanation was noted and he was advised her future performances will be monitored. g) THREE CHEERS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (HK) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) *I Taka (MILLENIUM DANCER) rode +1kg of which 0.5kg was declared (53.9kgs) b) *H Moosun (SUNDROP) rode +0.5kg and only claimed 2kg of his 4kg allowance (50.3kgs) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER a) Nil THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) FIRE GLOW - examined post-race.
