THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, MAGIC TATTOO (K Matsunyane) kicked the back gate on multiple occasions. b) CHASING HAPPINESS (S Khumalo) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) TRUTH (M Yeni) and MRS BROWNING (C Zackey) came together and bumped shortly after the start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MOUNT PILATUS (C Habib) and MRS BROWNING (C Zackey) hung in from the 200m. b) Jockey G Lerena reported that MELECH made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) CHASING HAPPINESS (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J J van Vuuren advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) TAXI TO THE MOON: Jockey A Fortune weighed out at 55,3kg, 1,0kg over the carded weight as declared.
