THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LUCRETIUS (C F Dicken) lost 1 length. b) FIRE FORCE (*J Botes) lost 3 lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. Trainer G B Puller will be advised to re-school this gelding. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) LUCRETIUS (C F Dicken) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) SAXON DYNASTY (S Hlengwa) hung in from the 350m. c) The saddle on KADIZORA (M Yeni) slipped back in the running. This was confirmed by the video evidence. d) Jockey C F Dicken reported that LUCRETIUS took a number of awkward strides in the running. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) SAXON DYNASTY (S Hlengwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
