The start of this race was delayed due to the late arrival of the horses at the start due to the 30 minute interval between races 8 and 9. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performances of BLUSH OF DAWN (S Hlengwa) and GLAMORZ (M Yeni) which came together and bumped at the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) The saddle on CAPE CAPRI (*J Botes) slipped slightly backwards in the running. This was confirmed by the video evidence. c) DRIVE BY (D Schwarz), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L W Goosen was advised (NS).
