THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FUTURE SAINT (*N Nastili) and BEACH PALACE (*I Taka) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MOVE TO PROVE (*B Plaatjies) fly-jumped on two occasions shortly after the start. b) Approaching the 1100m, FOREST JUMP (*M Mbuto) was bumped by LAKE COMO (*G Dookhit) which was carried in marginally by YANNAKIS (*S Bungane) which shifted in. c) At approximately the 750m, LAKE COMO (*G Dookhit) and BEACH PALACE (*I Taka) were carried out by FOREST JUMP (*M Mbuto) which was directed out away from the heels of YANNAKIS (*S Bungane) which took an awkward stride and shifted out after making contact with the inside running rail. d) Apprentice B Plaatjies reported that he felt something amiss with MOVE TO PROVE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Trainer N Kotzen signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.3 in that he failed to ensure that he had notified the Chief Stipendiary Steward within 2 days that MOVE TO PROVE is a gelding when it entered his training establishment. Accordingly, a fine of R500 was imposed. f) LAKE COMO (*G Dookhit), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Campbell was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) MOVE TO PROVE is a gelding. Gelded 11.12.2024.
