THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ORANGE COUNTY (K Matsunyane) and GEORGE HANDEL (*G Samo-Burthia) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) FLAMBOYANT FLYER (*K J Lihaba) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) EIGER SANCTION (M Yeni) and ARLINGTON ACTION (*N Nastili) over-raced in the early stages. b) ORANGE COUNTY (K Matsunyane) over-raced in the early and middle stages, proving difficult to assist. c) Apprentice N Nastili reported that ARLINGTON ACTION did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey s Khumalo reported that PANNING GOLD made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
