THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE AS WELL AS HONG KONG (G LERENA) PROVING RELUCTANT TO PROCEED TO THE START AND HAVING TO BE LED BY A HANDLER. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RAINING RUBIES (J R Syster) was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) HONG KONG (G Lerena) proved reluctant to canter to the start and had to be led by a Handler. Trainer A P Peter was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, she may be suspended. b) EXCEEDINGLY GLAM (C Zackey) hung in from the 500m. c) Apprentice N Nastili reported that he felt something amiss with POINTER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Apprentice C Murray reported that he felt something amiss with KINDRED HEART in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Assistant Trainer T Woodruff, acting on behalf of Trainer J Crawford, was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of KINDRED HEART on return to stables. e) EXCEEDINGLY GLAM (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) EXCEEDINGLY GLAM: Jockey C Zackey weighed out at 55,1kg, 1kg over the carded weight of which 0,5Kg was declared. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None.
