THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ZARA'S WINTER (M Thackeray) was stubborn to load. Trainer M D Miller will be advised to reschool this colt. (SL) b) BOURNE SUPREMACY (T Godden) lost 1 length. c) FREEDOM FIGHTER (C Little) lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 700m FLAG CHAMP (S Khumalo) which raced green, was inconvenienced when racing in restricted room between WORLD OF ROYALTY (M Yeni) and the inside running rail. b) Shortly before entering the straight BRUH (A Fortune) was brushed on two occasions by BOURNE SUPREMACY (T Godden) which raced green and rolled out. Thereafter BRUH (A Fortune) commenced to hang in. c) FREEDOM FIGHTER (C Little), ZARA'S WINTER (M Thackeray) and DIRECTOR (S Veale) raced green. d) In view of the performance of FLAG CHAMP (S Khumalo) (9.55 lengths, 3/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) INTENSITY (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
