THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AFRICAN SKYLINE (S Moodley) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start BOURBON WARRIOR (M Yeni) and AFRICAN SKYLINE (S Moodley), which were slow into stride, were squeezed out between WINTER GREETING (C Zackey) which rolled out, and KING REGENT (D Schwarz). b) At the 800m THE ABDICATOR (IRE) (K Matsunyane) was brushed by LUHAMBA PHAMBILI (S Veale) which was brushed in by NO FILTER (*J Botes) which rolled in marginally and was immediately corrected. c) THE ABDICATOR (IRE) (K Matsunyane) hung out throughout. In view of the performance of this gelding, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) BOURBON WARRIOR (M Yeni) hung in throughout. e) PONTE PIETRA (C Habib) hung in from the 350m, proving difficult to assist. In view of the performance of this gelding, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In the concluding stages FUTURE VARIETY (J P v'd Merwe) was switched to the inside of ZIYASHA (R Danielson) to continue its run. g) ZIYASHA (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Binda was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ZIYASHA raced unshod all round (advised 06.05.2025/14h40). b) Jockey C Zackey (WINTER GREETING) weighed out at 55.2kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
