THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MASKED VIGILANTE (K Minnie) kicked the back gates in the starting stalls. b) WHATEVER NEXT (R Fourie) and DONNY TEE (E Webber) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) WHATEVER NEXT (R Fourie) was buffeted between SILVONIAN (C Zackey) and AADEHYA (*H Moosun), which jumped inwards shortly after the start. In this incident, SILVONIAN (C Zackey) made contact with the hindquarters of DUBAI HILLS (X Ndlovu), which were turned. b) SILVONIAN (C Zackey) was carried out slightly by DUBAI HILLS (X Ndlovu), which shifted out away from the crop in the latter stages. Jockey X Ndlovu appeared before the Board and was advised to react more timeously and take stronger corrective measures when his mount is shifting ground. c) Jockey C Habib reported that PENDRAGON did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) DUBAI HILLS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
