LASATA had the right front shoe attended to at the start, causing a delay. DOUBLE THE FUN was restless in the stalls, jumped slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. BLACK KNAP was slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. Jockey Orffer reported that he felt something amiss with FERGIE'S ROCK in running. In view of the performance from WINTER TANGO, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt on his return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. At approximately the 1100m MORSE, which was pulling hard early, raced onto the heels of QUINTAY (ARG) and had to be steadied. PEGA D'ORO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: FERGIE'S ROCK - returned not striding out on the left fore. WINTER TANGO - examined post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. DOUBLE THE FUN - returned with a nasal discharge from the left nostril. Scratched: TANGO WITH TIGERS - coughing.
