THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TUNE AGAIN (Y Ramzan) was nervous in the stalls. b) BAIE MOOI (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length. c) BYTHELITEOFTHEMOON (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing four lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BAIE MOOI recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer AC Greeff was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. b) STROOPSOET (C Habib) stumbled shortly after the start. c) After being slow to begin and in an attempt to make up ground BYTHELITEOFTHEMOON (K Minnie) was ridden forward and had to be steadied momentarily off the heels of STROOPSOET (C Habib) at approximately the 800m. d) Leaving the 200m MY AMI BEACH (L Mxothwa) had to steady off the heels of BAIE MOOI (R Fourie), which shifted inwards from the 300m. Jockey R Fourie was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of BAIE MOOI he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MY AMI BEACH leaving the 200m. Jockey R Fourie signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning. e) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with HER ROYALTY. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) In view of the report from the starter regarding BYTHELITEOFTHEMOON (K Minnie), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to jump on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 17/05/2025 to 23/05/2025 inclusive). BYTHELITEOFTHEMOON may not be presented for re-passing during this period. g) BAIE MOOI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
