THE STARTER REPORTED: a) POTENT CAPTAIN (S Khathi) jumped slow, losing one length. b) FUTURE OF ENERGY (MK Katjedi) and ARIVIDICIO (C Maujean) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey C Zackey (NIKES RAY OF LIGHT) was kicked in the parade ring. He was examined by the paramedics and the on course Medical Officer and declared unfit to ride. A replacement Rider, Jockey E Webber, weighed out and NIKES RAY OF LIGHT (E Webber) proceeded to the start, causing a delay. b) HAT HOT HAT (C Habib) jumped awkwardly and made slight contact with FLOWER FESTIVAL (L Mxothwa) leaving the stalls. c) HAT HOT HAT (C Habib) over raced in the early and middle stages. d) FLOWER FESTIVAL (L Mxothwa) was hanging inwards from approximately the 250m. e) GLOBETONIC (C Maujean) and HAT HOT HAT (C Habib) came together and brushed shortly before the finish. f) FLOWER FESTIVAL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
