THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) VAPOUR TRAIL (G Lerena) was stubborn loading.
b) YAMAZAKI (JP van der Merwe) jumped outwards.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) Steady rain fell during the running of this race.
b) Shortly after the start IMOKELLY (L Mxothwa) and CONDITIONALLY (S Veale) were inconvenienced on the outside of YAMAZAKI (JP van der Merwe), which jumped outwards, shifted out and had to be corrected. As a consequence, IMOKELLY (L Mxothwa) and CONDITIONALLY (S Veale) were slow into stride and were taken in behind runners in the early stages.
c) PRINCE OF EGYPT (M Yeni) pulled hard in the early stages.
d) IMOKELLY (L Mxothwa) was hanging out in the straight.
e) CONDITIONALLY (S Veale) was hanging out from the 400m.
f) Jockey R Fourie reported that NEW WORLD changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
g) In view of the performance of YAMAZAKI (JP van der Merwe), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
h) In view of the report from the Starter regarding VAPOUR TRAIL (G Lerena), Trainer VH Marshall will be advised to have this colt re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
