THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ORDER OF HOPE (*K J Lihaba) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) THE MERCIFUL (K A Brewer) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 500m, Jockey C Maujean's (SILVER FLARE) colours cap was dislodged from his skull cap. b) STOP THE TRAFFIC (K Matsunyane) shifted in away from the crop from the 300m, and thereafter Jockey K Matsunyane did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockey J Gates, the rider of BLURRED VISION, accidentally dropped his crop at the 300m. d) At approximately the 150m, RAINY SEASON (M K Katjedi) was carried in by FLAG BEARER (*G Samo-Burthia), which hung in from the 200m. e) In view of the performance of ANGEL'S WISH (*J Botes), (distance 12,55 lengths, betting 16/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. f) NUCLEAR FORCE (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer E Verdonese advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) STOP THE TRAFFIC was ridden by Jockey K Matsunyane (declared 21 May 2025 at 14H56). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None.
