EIGHTFOLDS LASS became restless in the stalls and was leaning on the right-hand side of the stall. As a consequence of this Jockey Marcus could not put his right foot into his stirrup iron. EIGHTFOLDS LASS was repositioned in the stalls to allow Jockey Marcus to mount this filly. This incident caused a delay to the start of this race. Trainer Soma was advised to re-school EIGHTFOLDS LASS prior to its next engagement. PRETTY BALLERINA, DIORAMA and CHARMZ LUCK were slow, losing 1 length. Jockey Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with PRETTY BALLERINA in running. Jockey Marcus reported that he felt something amiss with EIGHTFOLDS LASS in running and did not persevere with his ride from the 300m. CHARMZ LUCK was hanging in from the 400m to the 200m. Jockey Kennedy reported that this mare made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. LADY OF STEEL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: PRETTY BALLERINA - fatigued; coughing. EIGHTFOLDS LASS - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. CHARMZ LUCK - fatigued. Scratched: MISS LEXI - cast in box.
