THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) WANDER SKITT (N Patel) lost 1 length.
b) STAR FALL (M Yeni) lost 2 lengths.
c) EASTERN HIGHLANDS (A Mgudlwa) and WILLOW LADY (K Matsunyane) were slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) Shortly after the start WANDER SKITT (N Patel) was bumped by WILLOW LADY (K Matsunyane) which jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
b) EASTERN HIGHLANDS (A Mgudlwa) which raced green, hung out around the turn.
c) FRENCH WAR LORD (C Murray) hung out on the latter part of the turn and into the straight.
d) GOLDEN OPERATOR (C Zackey) which raced extremely green, shifted both ways away from the crop from the 250m.
e) Shortly after the finish Jockeys T Godden (SOLDIER BOY) and C Zackey (GOLDEN OPERATOR) were dislodged from their respective mounts which ducked in sharply away from the shadow cast by the grandstand. This precluded Jockeys Godden and Zackey from weighing in. In terms of Rule 66.2, the Board deemed their weight to be correct. Jockeys Godden and Zackey were attended to on the track by the paramedics and the racecourse medical officer and then transported to the medical centre for further attention.
f) The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine both GOLDEN OPERATOR (C Zackey) and SOLDIER BOY (T Godden).
g) GOLDEN OPERATOR is suspended in terms of Rule 92.3.4 and until such time as it proves tractable galloping with a companion at Hollywoodbets Greyville, to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Trainer S G Tarry will be advised.
h) SOLDIER BOY (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee O Christianson acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller was advised (DZ).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a) Jockey D Schwarz was the rider of PINKERTON'S SON (advised 22.05.2025/13h41).
RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER :

THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED :
a) SOLDIER BOY : Nothing obvious detected.
b) GOLDEN OPERATOR : Injured right hind fetlock.
THE MEDICAL OFFICER REPORTED :
a) Jockey T Godden was stood down after the running of this race with a possible humerus fracture. Rule 25.12 was applied.
b) Jockey C Zackey was stood down after the running of this race with a soft tissue injury and a possible head injury. Rule 25.12 was applied.
