The start of this Race was delayed due to the tongue tie having to be refitted on SLOANE RANGER inside the starting stalls. DUCHESS LANE was slow into stride. DUCHESS LANE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SLOANE RANGER raced in Club Colours. Approaching the 200m Jockey Kennedy's foot slipped out of his right side stirrup iron which he regained shortly thereafter. JUST AN ILLUSION was hanging out badly on the bend, which resulted in the bit pulling through the mouth of this filly, this resulted in Jockey Mgudlwa being unable to fully assist his mount. IMPERIAL SEAL shifted in away from the crop approaching the 150m and had to be straightened. Approaching the 700m, LITTLE MISS PHILLY, who was racing on the inside of BLACK BEAUTY became cramped for galloping room on the inside running rail. This incident is to be reviewed by the Stipendiary Board. BINT EL MALAK was hanging in in the latter stages. In view of the performances of EMERALD DIAMOND and FRANKS PETAL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. IMPERIAL SEAL and EMERALD DIAMOND raced with alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: BLACK BEAUTY - cut into right hind. EMERALD DIAMOND and FRANKS PETAL - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: JAYDEN'S SHREYA - insufficient recovery time. PARKDALE - no transport.
