THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start DRIVE BY (D Schwarz), ON BOARD (S Moodley) and COPACABANA (C Murray) were brushed in by ILHA DA ORANGE (M Yeni) which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) At the 800m BLUSH OF DAWN (S Hlengwa) clipped the heels of QUENTASIA (*M Mbuto) which shifted in when insufficiently clear. c) Apprentice M Mbuto signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of QUENTASIA, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horse BLUSH OF DAWN (S Hlengwa) at the 800m. Accordingly a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for seven days was imposed. (Dates to be advised). d) At the 300m DYNASTY'S LAST (M Thackeray) was momentarily baulked and switched to the inside of COPACABANA (C Murray) and thereafter was switched to the outside of COPACABANA (C Murray) which rolled in. e) At the 150m, DYNASTY'S LAST (M Thackeray) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the heels of ON BOARD (S Moodley) which commenced to hang in from the 250m. f) In view of the performances of BLUSH OF DAWN (11.55 lengths, 25/2 in the betting) and QUENTASIA (*M Mbuto) (9.05 lengths, 28/10 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) ILHA DA ORANGE (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Naidoo was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) BLUSH OF DAWN : Cut into left front. b) QUENTASIA : Nothing obvious detected. SCRATCHINGS : a) CHICAGO LASS : Injured hind fetlock (Trainer - 28.05.2025/08h37). Rule 53.5 applies. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
