THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE AS WELL AS CALL ME MASTER (D SCHWARZ) PROVING STUBBORN LOADING.
THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) CALL ME MASTER (D Schwarz) was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Stable Employee A Langa, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Sage was advised (GT).
b) CALL ME MASTER (D Schwarz) was slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) CARNELO (G Lerena) hung out in the concluding stages.
b) Jockey M K Katjedi reported that RED SPARROW made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
c) Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with CALL ME MASTER in running.
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d) Apprentice G Samo-Burthia reported that CITY LIGHTS did not stride out freely in running.
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to CALL ME MASTER, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion on a Raceday.
Suspension dates: 30 May 2025 to 5 June 2025. CALL ME MASTER may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Stable Employee A Langa, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Sage, was advised.
f) Jockey K Matsunyane, the rider of CARTAGENA , accidentally dropped his crop at the 150m.
g) CARTAGENA (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
