THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) PYRO EDITION (Y Ramzan) in stall gate 3 was fractious in the stalls, broke through the front gates, was taken in hand, returned behind the stalls, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn.
b) MATT'S WARRIOR (S Khathi) and TOWER OF LONDON (MK Katjedi) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
c) GOLDEN GREY (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length.
d) PROLIFIC STAR (C Zackey) jumped awkwardly and thereafter was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) In view of the report from the Starter, the balance of the field was taken out of the stalls, gate 3 was checked by the Starter and the field was reloaded, causing a slight delay.
b) GOLDEN GREY (R Fourie) over raced in the early stages.
c) MATT'S WARRIOR (S Khathi), which jumped slow, failed to muster speed and raced detached from the field throughout.
d) MITREDAT (E Webber) raced wide without cover on the bend and into the straight and thereafter, was hanging in from 600m.
e) Apprentice N Nastili reported that FIZZLY BUBBLY took an awkward stride at approximately the 400m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding PYRO EDITION (Y Ramzan), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 31/05/2025 to 06/06/2025 inclusive) PYRO EDITION may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
g) CHEERFUL CHARLIE B, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WGC Miller was advised. (LM)
h) FIZZLY BUBBLY, unplaced, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (LM)

b) TOP DOLLAR raced without blinkers and without a tongue tie (declared 08h59 on 20250529)
c) S Khathi (MATT'S WARRIOR) rode +1kg of which 0.5kg was carded (57.0kgs)
