The start of this Race was delayed due to the re-scheduled previous Race, the farrier attending to the off fore shoe on AGENT MURPHY prior to leaving the parade ring, QUATRO FIVE SIX and ALFONSA SPAGONI becoming fractious in the stalls and subsequently being withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. QUATRO FIVE SIX was restless in the stalls, injured and withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. In deciding what action to take against the horse QUATRO FIVE SIX, the Board considered the improved history of this gelding at the starting stalls and the extent of its fractiousness. Accordingly, Trainer Govender was advised to re-school this gelding. ALFONSA SPAGONI was restless in the stalls, injured and withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. In deciding what action to take against the horse ALFONSA SPAGONI, the Board considered the history of this gelding at the starting stalls and the extent of its fractiousness. Accordingly, this gelding's starting stall certificate was withdrawn. ARROWS OF DESIRE lost one length. PUTCHINI lost three lengths. MAA NONU shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. BELTON ROAD (AUS) was hanging in from the 400m. FLY BY SKYE was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the inside of AGENT MURPHY, which shifted in off the heels of DURAN, to continue its run at the 250m. Apprentice Pieterse's crop became briefly entangled with his left side rein at the 200m. In view of the Starter's report with regard to ALFONSA SPAGONI , this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. ALFONSA SPAGONI may not be presented for re-passing during this period. KRISHNIES JET was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DURAN raced with alumites in front, steel shoes behind. FINAL ASSEMBLY raced with alumite bar shoe left fore and alumites all round. Scratched: QUATRO FIVE SIX - mouth injury in the stalls and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. ALFONSA SPAGONI - fell and was injured in the starting stalls and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
