THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MOYA WA LALIGA (S Khumalo) and GORGEOUS GUY (C Habib) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MC DAZZLER (C Zackey) hung in from the 350m. Thereafter Jockey C Zackey reported that this gelding raced with its tongue over the bit. b) In view of the performances of INTREPID (A Mgudlwa) (5.45 lengths, 20/1 in the betting) and COMING IN HOT (G Lerena) (7.00 lengths, 20/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) KWAGGA BLITZ (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Binda was advised (SP). Trainer C Binda was questioned regarding the improved performance of this gelding as compared to its three most recent performances. He could offer no suitable explanation and his attention was drawn to the rules pertaining to in and out running.
