THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRINCE OF TIBET (JP van der Merwe) was restless in the stalls. b) MIGHTY MAC (C Zackey) and RHYTHM KING (O Noach) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey C Orffer reported that MONT LOISIR, which was hanging out throughout, did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 250m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report regarding MONT LOISIR, this gelding is suspended in terms of Rule 49.7 and a Veterinary Certificate is required prior to racing. Assistant Trainer K Snyders was advised. b) Jockey A Domeyer (SUN DAZED) dropped his crop at the 150m. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that MIGHTY MAC did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) FIRINGONALLENGINES, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Rix was advised.
